About the University
Brighton University is a public university based on five campuses in Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings on the south coast of England.
Its roots can be traced back to 1858, when the Royal Pavilion opened the Brighton School of Art. It became a university in 1992.
In 2006, the University of Brighton teamed up with the engineering company Ricardo UK to open the Sir Harry Ricardo Laboratories, which carries out extensive research on, among other things, internal combustion engines and laser-based measurement techniques.
Brighton city is liberal and diverse, located on the south coast of England, and is known for it’s vibrant small businesses and annual Pride celebrations. It is a popular destination for international students due to its excellent facilities and great graduate opportunities.

The university has excellent facilities including a sports centre at each campus, 24/7 libraries, galleries, the Sallis Benney Theatre and specialist laboratories and teaching spaces.
